High School Summer Mission Trip to Baton Rouge, LA 2015
Depart Saturday, July 18 - Arrive Home Saturday, July 25
Total Cost $360.
Revive225 is a ministry of First United Methodist Church of Baton Rouge. HY5 high schools (completed 9th - 2015 grads) will stay in bunk houses on the church campus and serve in local mission work opportunities with the lower income people of the Baton Rouge area doing home repair.
A typical day will include working from 8am to 4pm, followed by dinner, worship and activities each night. Wednesday afternoon our group will venture into the local area to do some sight seeing, hiking, or a swamp tour. Thursday evening we will enjoy a crawfish boil with the folks we will be serving.
Mission fundraisers to help defray the cost of this trip include the Chili & Chowder Cook-off and Silent Auction on March 8, and the Yard Sale at Harvest on March 21.
More information about the site can be found at the Revive225 website: www.revive225.com
